AGM & Republic Day Celebration

A ticketed event to celebrate India’s Republic Day and to conduct the Annual General Meeting and elect new Board Members with a variety of entertainment from local artists and talents, participation of Indian Language School Students and delicious catered food. The event gives an opportunity for members, new immigrants to meet, connect, network and to make new friends and creates a platform for artists to showcase their talents and skills.

Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival

In collaboration with the Tamil Cultural, Association India-Canada Association of Waterloo Region (ICA) participate in this annual community event organized by the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre. Sale of Indian food, prepared before and at the event is much appreciated by the larger community of this region. Funds generated from this event are used for ICA's future events and activities.

Annual South Asian Cultural Festival

A South Asian Cultural Fair that has become our signature event. Popularly known as “MELA” the event showcases local talents in performing arts, entrepreneurs, new and old businesses, social service agencies, food and hospitality businesses promoting diversity and inclusion and an incredible platform for new immigrants as a window into the growing and thriving South Asian communities. Mela is an annual event held on the first Sunday after the Labour Day in September with support of the City of Kitchener and sponsors. It is a free event for members and the general public.

South Asian Family Sports Day

This event brings together members of India-Canada Association of Waterloo Region with other sister organizations namely Gujarati Cultural Association, Tamil Cultural Association, Grand River Malayalee Association, Bengali, Rajasthani, Kannada, Marathi and other Associations, in a friendly and competitive sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, throwball, kids activities, yoga etc. The main purpose of this event is to bring together all Indian families, irrespective of their language, customs and cultural differences, under one platform to enhance quality of their health through sports. It is a Free event for members of all these associations.

Musical Nite

A ticketed event to raise funds for a local charity and to raise awareness of the needs in the Community. For the love of Indian music, this event showcases multi talented singers and musicians with food.
